Overview
Welcome to KUVE, an AI-secured e-commerce marketplace owned and operated by KUVE Technologies Ltd. (“KUVE,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of KUVE’s website, mobile applications, products, and services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”).
By creating an account, browsing, or using the Platform in any way, you agree to comply with these Terms and any other policies referenced herein, including KUVE’s Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Community Guidelines (if applicable). If you do not agree with any of these Terms, please refrain from using KUVE immediately
KUVE serves as a technology intermediary, providing tools that connect buyers and sellers for the purchase and sale of goods and services in a secure digital environment. While KUVE facilitates payments and escrow services, it is not the direct seller of any listed items unless expressly stated otherwise.
Registration and account
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements, use KUVE for lawful purposes only, and provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
Account Registration
To use features such as selling, messaging, or managing orders, users must create a KUVE Account. You agree to provide truthful and complete registration details and maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials. KUVE reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be in violation of these Terms.
Account Security
You are responsible for all activities occurring under your account. KUVE will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access caused by your negligence or failure to secure your account credentials.
KUVE Wallet
The KUVE Wallet allows you to store funds, make payments, receive refunds, and withdraw earnings.
KYC verification is required only when withdrawing funds to a personal bank account.
Users may top up their wallets using supported payment methods such as bank transfer, card, or USSD.
Funds held in KUVE Wallet are non-interest-bearing.
KUVE reserves the right to freeze, hold, or investigate wallet transactions in cases of suspected fraud, disputes, or regulatory requests.
Wallet balances are denominated in Nigerian Naira (₦) or other currencies as may be supported.
Escrow and Payment Terms
KUVE operates a secure escrow system that holds buyer payments until delivery is confirmed or disputes are resolved. Once an order is completed and marked as “Delivered and Accepted,” funds are automatically released to the seller’s wallet. Sellers must ensure products are as described and delivered within agreed timelines. Buyers must confirm receipt of items promptly to facilitate fund release. Refunds (if applicable) will be processed through the KUVE Wallet or original payment method.
Listing and Selling on KUVE
Sellers may list products, properties, or services (depending on category) in compliance with KUVE’s listing guidelines. All listings must contain accurate descriptions, prices, and images, and must not violate intellectual property or third-party rights, nor include prohibited or restricted items. KUVE reserves the right to edit, suspend, or remove listings that violate policies or appear fraudulent. Sellers must honor all valid orders and communicate clearly with buyers.
Buyer Responsibilities
Buyers must carefully review listings before making purchases, use KUVE’s secure payment and escrow system (no direct payments outside KUVE), confirm delivery and product satisfaction upon receipt, and open disputes within 48 hours of delivery if issues arise.
AI Verification and Fraud Prevention
KUVE employs AI-powered fraud detection, seller verification, and transaction monitoring to ensure platform safety. Users consent to KUVE’s use of automated systems to analyze listings, messages, and transactions to detect risks or prohibited activities. KUVE may suspend, investigate, or permanently restrict accounts linked to suspicious or fraudulent activity.
Disputes and Resolution
Disputes may be initiated within 48 hours after delivery if there is a disagreement between buyer and seller. KUVE’s Dispute Resolution Team will mediate using submitted evidence such as chat history, proof of payment, or delivery receipt. Resolution outcomes may include refunds, partial payments, or item returns. All dispute decisions by KUVE are final and binding for transactions conducted within the platform.
Delivery and Logistics
KUVE works with Shipbubble, a verified third-party logistics (3PL) partner, to ensure secure and trackable deliveries. Buyers and sellers must ensure accurate delivery addresses and contact details. KUVE and Shipbubble are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses, recipient unavailability, or force majeure events. Delivery tracking and proof of delivery are available through the KUVE platform.
Fees and Commissions
KUVE may charge sellers transaction fees, listing fees, or service commissions as disclosed in the Fee Schedule. Fees are automatically deducted from successful transactions. KUVE reserves the right to revise its fee structure at any time, with prior notice to users.
Prohibited Activities
Users must not engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activities, circumvent KUVE’s escrow or payment systems, post misleading or inappropriate content, sell counterfeit or illegal goods, attempt to hack or disrupt KUVE’s systems, or impersonate any person or entity. Violation of these rules may result in account suspension, legal action, or permanent ban.
Intellectual Property Rights
All content, trademarks, and materials on KUVE (including logos, software, and designs) are owned by KUVE Technologies Ltd. Users retain ownership of their own listings and media but grant KUVE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute content on the platform.
Data Privacy and Security
KUVE collects and processes personal data in line with its Privacy Policy and applicable laws such as the NDPR and GDPR. Your data may be shared with trusted service providers for verification, logistics, or payment processing. KUVE uses encryption, fraud monitoring, and identity verification to protect user data.
Limitation of Liability
KUVE provides the platform “as is” without warranties of any kind. KUVE is not liable for product quality, accuracy of listings, direct communication outside the platform, or losses due to user negligence or third-party actions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KUVE’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the disputed transaction.
Termination and Suspension
KUVE may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if required by law enforcement. You may also request account closure by contacting [email protected].
Changes to Terms
KUVE reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Revised versions will be posted on the website, and continued use after updates signifies acceptance.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
